Because after all, if we can’t believe in ourselves, who can we believe in?
There are many – MANY things we can’t 100% rely on happening. Stuff happens. Good and Bad. Things don’t always work out as planned, in fact, things rarely work out as planned. Life doesn’t stay steady any more than Santa is going to jump down our chimney. But without good, there’d be no bad, ups and downs are the natural order of things. What we can do is learn to manage how we handle events and how we bounce back and get on moving towards what we really want, without being attached to whether we get it! How we get back to believing in ourselves again – every day.
Do you know what you want? What you really want? Yes? Maybe? Sometimes? No idea? Not sure? When was the last time you asked yourself that? And if you did, what do you answer?
I know when I asked it for a long time, it’s been different every time. And sometimes I just didn’t have a clue! And then as soon as I thought I knew, and it changed!
Well, I do now. I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while now and I ask myself it frequently. I keep tuning in with the question and the answer to check that I’m on the right track. Because what I want and what I’m doing right now – are one and the same.
On a Clear Day – you can see for miles. But what about the days that are foggy?
On a clear day, you can see your vision like a beacon driving you forward.
You can see the detail right in front of you and the horizon in the distance
On a clear day you take each step happily and calmly just enjoying the journey
On a clear day, your doubts and insecurities drift away and leave you feeling safe and secure
On a clear day, you know that everything is and will be OK
And on the other days…
When your vision seems to have disappeared over the edge of the horizon and you just don’t know which way to turn
When you doubt yourself so much that you want to give up
When you’re stuck and alone and feel like you’re not going anywhere
When you just don’t believe that what you’re doing is going to work and it’s all a waste of time
How to turn a cloudy day into a clear day
Some days I just can’t seem to focus. I have a whole list of things to do, all directed towards my vision, but somehow the next step seems to elude me. I find myself starting, stopping, questioning, overthinking and then getting frustrated with myself for wasting time!
I really value being able to choose a path and stay true to it not bouncing from path to path like a rabbit in headlights.
Fortunately, I have a bank of calming and clearing techniques that help me move forward! I thought I’d share a few of them with you here:
I don't really believe in failure... If you look up the definition it's 'A lack of success'... How do you define success?
failure really comes down to your own standards. If I set a personal goal and 'fail' to achieve that particular goal, then it's really up to me to reframe it as a successful learning experience that will set me up well for next time!
